We are very excited to announce that we recently received our 10% Solution certification which demonstrates our corporate committment to social responsibility. We're very excited! We feel strongly about doing are part for the environment and for our community.
To be a certified business, we've committed to donate 1% of our sales to local charities that are consistent with our green and community commitment. We've also committed to donate our employee's time to volunteer efforts - 1 day every 2 months per employee. And last but not least, we've committed to continue a wide range of green business practices. For starters, we purchased carbon offsets from Native Energy which uses the money to help build renewable energy projects. We also bike to work, recycle absolutely everything we can, never run the air conditioning, avoid purchases of new products to reduce our overall consumption, avoid plastic water bottles and polystyrene containers (styrofoam), and we even compost our food waste!
