To help you better understand how we operate and how your project will be handled from start to finish, the Juxtaflo design process is as follows:
Step 1: Discovery
The first step is discovery. This means we figure out the scope and details of your project. The most important thing that comes from this step is a visual site map diagram. Without that we cannot create an estimate for the project.
Step 2: Content Collection
The second step is content collection – We need to collect all of the content that will be used in the website like text, images, illustrations, audio, video, etc. We may have to create some of this for you. This is an often underestimated step and can take quite a lot of time.
Step 3: Architecture Development
Once all of the content has been collected or created we will start the layout phase. At this time we will create wire frame illustrations or story board layouts so we can determine the best way to present the information and build the navigation system. We will present you with our ideas and ask for your feedback.
Step 4: Design
After determining the layout and navigation system, we will enter the design phase. Juxtaflo will create two different graphical styles based on the wire frames. At the start of the design process, two rough design concepts will be provided that show different approaches to color palettes, navigation, content treatments, and imagery. At that point we will have a meeting to discuss which direction represents best the company vision. During our discussion we will note any refinements, if any, that you would like to make to the design before we start the website development.
Step 5: Site Development
When the design phase is complete we will start building your website. We will create all of the pages, animations, forms, databases, back-end software, etc. We may need your input at various points to approve the way a particular feature functions.
Step 6: Testing/Finishing
During the finishing or “polishing” phase, we will make all of the final changes, refinements, and adjustments before putting it on public display. We will test the site on various browsers
and double check all functionality.
Step 7: Launch
Once we receive your approval, your new website will go live on the World Wide Web!
